Malasadas (hawaiian style donuts)

1 1/2 cup Bisquick pancake mix
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1 Egg
3/4 cup Milk
6 Slices sandwinch bread
Oil for deep frying
Sugar for coating

Mix together all ingredience except for bread and oil. Heat oil in pan.  Cut the bread slices in 6 pieces each.
Dip bread squares into batter.  Fry in oil until brown. Coat with sugar. serve warm.
It cooks fast make sure you turn down the heat while cooking!

Special requested recipe by my friend Jocelyn.
I got this recipe from an old cookbook that my Auntie Rose had given to me.
I have made these at parties and for my children for afternoon snack. Its cheap, fast and easy to make!
Crispy and light!  I can eat alot of them and not feel the fullness!  But later on, I start to feel the fullness as the bread expands in my stomach! LOL! This is really ONO!!!  (delicious)
